SSC Recruitment 2018: Centre to fill over 1,100 vacant posts in different departments

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is all set to fill over 1,100 vacant posts in various central government departments.

The announcement is significant as Congress has been criticising the Narendra Modi-led central government for lack of job creation in the country.

Meanwhile, the SSC has advertised 130 categories of various Group B (Non-Gazetted)/Group C posts having 1,136 vacancies in different departments/organisations.

The recruitment for these vacancies falls under different regional offices of SSC.

The northern region of the Commission has 299 vacancies of 36 categories of posts.

Region-wise details of all posts/vacancies in all regional offices and detailed notice/advertisement can be seen on ssc.nic.in and also on the website of regional offices of SSC.

Moreover, the applicants can apply for multiple posts in multiple regions.

"Selection of candidates shall be made on the basis of written exam to be conducted as a computer-based exam," the ministry said in a recent PTI report.

SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2018:

Meanwhile, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has extended the online registration process for SSC GD Constable in CAPFs, NIA, SSF, and Rifleman (GD). Now, all the candidates can now apply till September 30 on the official website of SSC, the link for which is ssc.nic.in

The registration process is being held to fill 54,953 posts (tentative).
